Kalumbila Town was always going to be a mining town with a difference. Essentially, it was built to grow.

But for Kalumbila Town to outlive the mine that it hosts, it needs to attract entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes, in all sectors. In successful mining regions around the world, we see this ‘economic multiplier effect’, where new jobs create more jobs further down the line.

To support this vision, the Trident Foundation set up a Local Business Entrepreneurship Training programme, which helps members of the community get their businesses off the ground.

This is a story about one of those entrepreneurs.
